DIY Pipe Cleaner Flower Series: Tulip Tutorial

Materials Needed
🔹 Pipe Cleaners (Chenille Stems):
8 in Main Color (2 for each petal)
4 in green (2 for each leaf)
0.5 in yellow (for the flower center)
🔹Floral Wire (1 Pc) – Ensures stability and support
🔹 Scissors ✂️
🔹 Hot Glue Gun (optional, for extra security)
🔹 Floral Tape

Petals🌸

Fold two pipe cleaners in half

Insert one into the other
- twist the upper one, pull it down, and place it in the middle of the lower one

Measure 5cm(two finger joints)from the middle, twist the two center stems

cross left & right strands. adjust shape

Take the right strand and weave it through the loop

Repeat the same steps on the other side

Cross and twist the top two strands tightly

Pull them down evenly on both sides

Pinch the bottom of the petal, Take a longer pipe cleaner and wrap it around the base to secure it

Gently bend the petal to give it a natural curve

Repeat these steps to create 4 petals for 1 tulip
Flower Center🌸
- Use one-half pipe cleaner to create a small loop
- Wrap it around the base two more times to form the pistil
- Twist the base tightly and pull the loops upright to shape them
Leaves🍃

Take 2 green pipe cleaners and fold them in half

Insert one through the other
3.twist the upper one, pull it down, and place it between the lower one
4.Flatten and smooth out the pipe cleaner
5.Measure 1cm from the bottom, and twist it tightly to secure
6. Lightly bend the leaves
🌼 Assemble the Flower
- Glue the pistil to the stem. (Be careful! Hot glue gets hot!)
- Attach four petals, and press firmly to secure
- Wrap the stem with floral tape up to 1/3 of the length
- Attach two leaves, continue wrapping to 2/3 of the stem
- Slightly bend petal tips outward
- Adjust the petals for a smooth, natural look.
